all might your time has come
The guy was an annoying punk with equally annoying friends, thinking that a girl her age wandering around in a secluded area would make an easy mark, and all the better if it was one who had offered their would-be leader some choice words and a knife to his pride but a short time ago.
That exaggerated style of speaking and everything else, however... Well, she stopped paying attention some time ago, but it seems they had mistaken her as being the daughter of some affluent individual and were happily prattling on about how to extort that fact, all the while showing off his ability to make a fool of himself. Maybe it's because he was one of those freaks that were apparently all over the place these days... What was it... Super strength? Laser beams? Talking to fish?
Ah, must be the latter. He just put a nice dent in the building she's leaning back against.]
Really... Come on now...
[There's a limit to how many comic book cliches a person can embody, and yet, there he goes, assuming that blank look is pure terror or whatever.
"Haha! I bet you're regretting messing with me now, eh!? Your precious father's going to pay up now!!"]
Are you done yet?
YES IT HAS!
[It was the last one that caught his attention as he headed to work, and if there was one thing All Might was terrible at, it was ignoring a troubling situation. So what if some other hero could handle it? He was here now, and meddling when you don't need to is the absolute essence of being a hero!]
It's all right now, young lady...
[Quite literally, he leapt into action, crashing down from above at the entrance of the alley, a reassuring smile on his face.]
BECAUSE I AM HERE!

At the very least, she hadn't expected that one to drop in.
The blank expression on her face finally cracks, replaced by something--surprise? Embarrassment? Not that she has any reason to feel embarrassed, not like she would even know who he was if it weren't all over the news and her face really is just turning red from how stupid this situation is...]
Oh. It's that guy from the news.
[Whatever emotions she's feeling, they're certainly overshadowed by the nervous bluster of the man in front of her and his two lackeys (one of them chiming in with a flustered All Might!) He grabs her throat, forcing out an involuntary gasp, as though that might be enough to shield him, using his free hand to exaggerated gesture.
Ha... You guys are afraid of this clown!? Just try and come closer and see what happens! I'll crush this girl's windpipe!]
IZUCHAAAAAANNNN
For as timid was he was, Izuku was the type to always do what was right--even if that meant trying to save a girl who wasn't in trouble, and just about getting himself killed in the process. Meanwhile, Kyoko seemed to go out of her way to cause trouble--not enough to be considered a villain, but certainly enough to ensure that no one would get too close. And that was just the way she liked it. He was a quiet blue flame to match her burning red hot one.
Well, except for the part where she spent most of her time causing him trouble. But certainly, the fact that she'd always brushed off his lack of a quirk as being an insignificant affair.
And then there's the fact that he's the only one who seems to have any real capacity for keeping her from getting into fights with anyone who so much as looks at her (or him) the wrong way.]
Look, I get that you've got your reasons for not wanting to show off your new powers like that, but...
[She places her hands on her hips, leaning in until her nose is almost touching his.]
I don't have that problem. Look, this is a problem that doesn't even need superpowers!
[She gestures vaguely with one hand, as though the solution were so obvious.]
All you need is a can of gasoline! Just chuck it right at him!
[Though, ah, that'd probably cause problems for everyone, wouldn't it, let's just ignore that part...]

She had, on more than one occasion, protected him from local bullies who found it fun (not to mention all to easy) to pick on the quirkless kid. He'd always tell her not to interfere, that he was ok and he could handle the situations himself, but... she never listened.
He's been a little embarrassed, ashamed even, but.... grateful, nonetheless.
Now... now things were different. Now he could protect himself. Protect others. Protect her.
Though, right now it looked like he'd once again have to protect others from her. Or at the very least protect the street from property damage...]
That's... not very hero-like, Kyoko. It would be really irresponsible to do that in such close quarters! You could cause major property damage doing that against someone with a quirk like his! Besides, you can just as easily contain him with one of your barriers and then we just have to wait for the police to come and take care of it.

I'm not a hero, y'know! Nobody in this stupid town even likes me. Why should I use my magic to try and help them? Even if I do, they'll just be su-per annoying about it.
[More specifically, they had in the past, on those (now increasingly common) occasions when Izuku had pulled her into his heroics. It was obnoxious, not to mention embarrassing. More importantly, it's a better subject to latch onto than the fact that he's right.]
Besides, he's already causing property damage. I don't think people are really gonna care about a little more if it means they don't die.
[I mean, they probably will around the time they realize that it was completely unnecessary (which will probably be fairly immediately,) but. Again, not the point she's going to stick with.]
last but not least aizawa as promised i'm here to ruin your day
Well, maybe it wasn't all a joke.
That's what had all started it all. It was just somebody taking a joke too seriously, really; who had heard of people gaining powers through artificial means? It was impossible to create something out of nothing, but perhaps that was a little too difficult to accept. And maybe she shouldn't have egged them on when t was obvious that they were taking it seriously, but really. What idiot would believe that?
And well, it really is just hard being popular.
Somebody had taken the joke a little too seriously and turned it into a big fight, one that had sent her crashing into somebody else's party. Whose she doesn't know, but judging by the seedy location and the way they had scattered, likely no one good. After all, she had caused quite the commotion with her entrance. The neighbors couldn't ignore it, nor could the local authorities, much less the showboating heroes looking for their five minutes of fame. Maybe she'd overdone it a little with the light show.
None of that was a big deal in the long run when she had made her own exit before anyone caught her. At least, that's what she thought until she ran into him.]
... Oh. It's you.
[It's not the first time they've run into each other, though somehow she imagines it'd be better if she hadn't.]
